a garden party: what we do

food & drink
the caterers we have established relationships with, extend their love of food to the planet by using fresh local ingredients. organic is encouraged for all goods and never, ever will GMOs be on the menu. also, getting your booze on greenie style is so easy with local organic microbrews and tons of vineyards going organic.

decor design
we avoid buying plastic at all costs. we rent as many things as we can and design with recycle/repurpose in mind. while we want your event to be unique, we don’t want it filled with stuff serving a singular purpose; ending it’s lifecycle in a landfill.

venue choice
some venues, like people, are just more in tune with what’s happening to our planet and how we do have a responsibility to change things. they don’t have to be LEED certified–but they do have to be savvy & willing to accommodate our needs with a smile.

waste
first, we want to plan your event so ideally there is no waste. we know, a lofty goal–but, we don’t want to have tons of food leftover to compost (although we will) or other stuff to get rid of. by streamlining your party–getting away from the disposable, one-use mentality we keep waste (and costs) down.

floral design
working with seasonal materials and the wishes of you, our client, we create beautifully unique floral arrangements using organic/local flowers. we always consider containers that can be easily repurposed after your event! also, to keep the fun going after your party, you can donate flowers to millie’s garden!
