protein myth demystified

if you’ve chosen an alternative diet, you’re probably used to meat-eaters asking you “hey, so how do you get your protein?”.
if you’re like me, your eyes glaze over and the same five things come out of your mouth in monotone–dark leafy greens, tofu, beans, avocado, nuts. i try not to judge or feel judged, but it does take its toll after 23 years. however, i think this super cute little book of protein, from etsy seller thisisbexx, will keep any future encounters upbeat & fun. a pocket-size compendium of protein laden foods measuring an adorable 3 x 1 7/8 inches and contains a short list of meat-free protein sources, the amount of protein per serving, and % daily value.
also included is information on how much protein the average person needs each day, and a list of resources on vegetarian & vegan nutrition.

they come with different colored, handsewn covers, this one is red paper cover with a handful of nuts on the front. carry it with you wherever you go so next time someone asks you “how do you get your protein?”, you can suppress the urge to strangle them & educate them instead by handing them this cute little book!
who knows, maybe it will inspire them to go veg…
made with only the finest materials–printed on archival, acid-free paper that contains 20% post-consumer waste, & manufactured using 100% windpower! and NEVER, EVER with any animal products. i think these would be really great favors at a vegan/veg wedding or event!
