joy thigpen has a beautiful blog showing off her matching talent. i especially loved these shots as they underscore how understated burlaps, beige & grays can move beyond elegant in their simplicity.
recreate her scene using repurposed rice/flour sacks, beeswax candles & maybe even a little bling like she did.
for added interest, make these wire candleholders from esprit cabane–a very inspired eco-craft site. there’s something slightly old world parisian about them to me. and old world parisian makes me very, very happy.
