i am smitten with the colorful art craft over at daisy yellow.

looking at these wonderfully bright prints has put a fire under my butt. they make me want to do something besides loaf around the house in my warm slippers. despite the fact it is freezing outside, i want to go frolic in the sun, roll down green grass hills, stick my nose in a flower & giggle with glee.

this is because this easy craft reminds me of my funky experimental elementary school. it was an open-air progressive experiment where we were encouraged to express ourselves thru arts & crafts. i can absolutely see our art teachers freaking something like this up for us to do. lots of our crafts back then involved egg cartons & one gallon plastic milk jugs, so this reworked bubblewrap thing would fit cozily in with the others. we, second graders, definitely would have excitedly presented some variation of this as a mother’s day gift–i am sure of it.

use this technique on everything for your next green event! invitations, napkins–turn plain white butcher paper into a fabuloso tablerunner. experiment! be bold! make room dividers–go crazy!

daisy yellow is a fun texan named tammy. i imagine her to be as warm, gentle, encouraging & creative as the folks in my formative years were. you will love the energy of her site & the breadth of spontaneity. check her out fo’ sure!
