recycled tin can garland & balls
as promised, a tin can craft for holiday decorating fun.
i saw this cute galvanized metal garland in smith & hawken and thought, “hey, i think i can make that!”. then i found this easy-peasy tutorial for christmas balls and knew, with hardly any adapting, a pretty garland with matching balls was in my future. they are super durable, making them perfect for outdoor festivities.
if you want a uniform color scheme, i would spray paint/glitterize/decoupage after flattening the metal, but before assembly. otherwise, the original hodgepodge of colors from different cans is a spontaneous & cool way to go.
