high five to new york magazine. this month’s issue grapples with NYers trying to survive despite the economic woes. their multi-page spread offers various solutions, and while some of them are preposterous–buying multiple colors of uniglo parkas because they’re cheap–others are tried & true staples of any greenies lifestyle. among them repairing clothing & furniture instead of simply replacing them, renting fancy dresses instead of buying, organizing clothing swaps with all your hip, fashionista friends (then donate what isn’t scooped up).
