it’s all the rage here in NYC. a step up from the hot dog or shaved ice carts–we love our gourmet food trucks!

maybe it’s ’cause rents are out of control in the city, and i mean OUT OF CONTROL, that new chefs are forgoing the overhead of square footage and going mobile. not as quirky & fun as the trucks that sent you running as a kid, no–these trucks are as grown-up as your palette.

enter the van leeuwen artisan ice cream truck. using hormone-free milks & creams from lewis county and no stabilizers or preservatives–this ice cream has a fresh-homemade quality like grandma used hand-crank out for us each summer.

plus, all of the cups, napkins & spoons are made from either sugar cane or corn husks and biodegradable. if you aren’t sold yet, one percent of their profits will go to wildlife direct, to help the mountain gorillas.

now you’re lovin’ it!

currently, you can catch the truck in soho on greene & prince,

university place (at 12th st)

& UWS-broadway @ 74th.

but i think it would be awesome to have them swing by your party & serve your guests a yummy treat as they head home. call them at (718) 701-1630, ask ben or laura about booking for your special event!
